Barack Obiden – History has been made

As I sit and read or watch black Americans go on about the successful election of OBIDEN I have to pause to think what the totality of it is.

The USA is 70% white which means the chances play out as such. I have seen Oprah, Sherri from “THE VIEW” and a host of other black Americans come across as if blacks now have the same chances in life that whites haven’t had for a long time. That is one of the misconceptions that hits me as funny, being white never put a free pass into my hand, a million dollars in my bank or a brand new car in the driveway. Anything I have achieved in life I have paid for dearly.

Our current president is white. Again OUR current president is white. He never did anything for me or any other white people I know. He is a fuck up as far as I am concerned. He and his administration screwed us all over.

Black Americans act as if they have their own president now because as he is black as well and surely in touch with the African American struggle, something Bush could never know about.  Didn’t white Liberals push Political Correctness on us all so that the term African American is meant for blacks in America who were descendants of slaves of the mid 19th century? Didn’t they coin the term – The “N” word?
Barack Obama doesn’t fit that mold. The closest he may have come to slavery was the chance his white family owned them years ago.

My parents were born and raised in Kansas and I lived there for a couple of years. We lived in Libya for three years and my youngest sister was born there making her African American by virtue of where she was born. My siblings and I were raised by people from Kansas. How much in common do I have with OBIDEN? I have lived in Africa, whereas he hasn’t, and I am white. Nothing was ever handed to me on a silver platter on a chance of a prayer.

Whenever a new white president was been voted into office I only cared about his platform and where he stood concerning the future of this country. I don’t really care what the president’s color is – does he make sense and can he do the job? The people I saw at the polls were there to push one button and I doubt they knew the rest of the offices that were on the ballot. I study before I vote so it is no mystery to me. From watching the time the others spend voting I gather they pushed that one button and left.
The folks I have mentioned that have been on TV speak as if apartheid has ended in the USA. I have to wonder if it ever existed in my lifetime. Anyone can run for president and that is a Constitutional right. This time it took somewhat over 10 times the annual salary of the president to run a campaign to do so. If what I read is correct, it was the most expensive campaign in American politics. If you have watched NFL football over the past month you saw campaign ads during every commercial break.

It makes me wonder if politics is going to become as professional sports in this country wherein rich white men end up paying black candidates to campaign for office as they would athletes on a field or court for entertainment.

What happens when we have an Asian or Hispanic man or woman elected into that office? Have the walls of apartheid have fallen enough for that?

I wait to see how OBIDEN can juggle the economy. The bailout was of no service to the American public, can any more payouts be in the plans? We are in the Middle east for a long time, like it or not. I am truly interested in how the kooky tax and energy plans will unfold.
The people who I saw on TV as praising the fact OBIDEN got in are making well over $3M, especially Oprah. I hope she plans on bending over to get shafted as he takes from her as well as every other “rich” American. Then I come to reality and it hits me that he won’t be taking that money from them as they won’t surrender it. They have attorneys for that purpose. Is every “rich” black American anticipating the wallet raping he has planned for them? I doubt it.

We have a little over two months – let the games begin.

How about them Cowboys?

Ask Jerry Jones. Then ask the sad sack head coach that wanders the sidelines like a lost Santa Claus, Wade Phillips. He waddles back and forth and seems lost in space from my viewpoint. He rarely wears his headset and probably wonders what the voices mean when he does. Does he carry a piece of paper around with him that looks like it might have the roster of players on it? Maybe in his pocket?

I don’t get it. Wake up Jerry! Your head coach has red hair and is calling the  game, why not admit it? Get off the field and let your team play the game. Your special teams coordinator runs up and down the sideline and coaches his guys the best he can. Is Wade thinking about a ham and cheese sandwich he left in the locker room?

The game the Cowboys just lost to the Arizona Cardinals was a pathetic display of poor coaching. It happened against Washington and it will happen again if Jason Garrett isn’t promoted to position of head coach. Wade can make Gatorade and hand out towels if the thought enters his mind. The old guy doesn’t seem to have the reins in hand.

The Dallas Cowboys have the talent to win a Super Bowl but don’t have a head coach to lead them. Bill Cowher would be a kickass head coach for the Cowboys and needs the job. Any coach that can inspire would be a good choice for me. He is a cocky little guy that will stand toe to toe with those super stars and put them in their place. Santa doesn’t put the same fire into them The Tuna did.
I would love to hear the NFL Network’s opinion concerning the manner.

How unprepared can they be for other games that should be smackdowns? Fumbles, sacks and penalties are killing them and they are playing as if they have no will to win. The only time I see them fired up is when there is a sense of urgency. They should play all 60 minutes with urgency.

Folk can hit a 55 yard field goal dead center but anything in the 30-40 yard range is in danger. The missed field goal was the game.

What is the offensive line coach doing during game time? Listening to the same Lawrence Welk Muzak on his headphones that Wade does? He must because Romo is eating dirt every play. Aikman and Staubach had too many concussions and Danny White suffered a few as well. Do ya wanna go a round of deja vu?

Jerry, get the kindly old timer off the field and put the red haired guy up front. He knows what is going on during the game. You used to pay him to ride the pine, pay him to run your team.

The truth about Green Jobs

I have been hearing about “green jobs” for too long and I have no idea WTF a “green job” is.

Is there anyone in the wonderful world who can properly define the term or is it yet another hip and cool sound bite we hear from the lips of the media and politicians because we think we want to?
We pay far too much homage to the bullshit that we hear from the media already and most people I know that mirror that crap have no idea of what they are saying.
Luckily, my best of friends don’t think in that train of thought. We all have formal educations and tend to form our own thoughts and opinions in a different manner than most of what I see about any of the current topics which flash by as quick as pop culture.

I think that is most of the problem with most of America. The media runs data over the people of the world in such high volumes it is no less than sound bites and pop culture.
Some female being photographed sans panties is as important as Brad and Angelina and pushes real news to the back until it comes forth in small bites when there is a pause in the onslaught. Political news should be ground to hamburger fare for the gossip news shows to be reduced to content that is easily understood by those that care about whether Britney or Hannah Montana are clothed or responsible role models. Who gives a shit?

CNN, FOX, HLN and MSNBC have already put OBIDEN in the White House. Anytime I watch them they declare that he has won every debate and converted all red states to blue. I have given up on watching the news because it isn’t “news”. It has become cesspools of whatever agenda the networks have to push.

Let’s turn our eyes to energy and the financial crisis…
America has to look into a mirror and point at itself. Each and every one of us. We are all at fault. That is where the finger points – to the mirror. Don’t believe either of those two running for president when they say it will be alright – they are lying assholes. We are staring depression in the face and inflation is holding it’s hand. Taxes will be in the 40- 50 percentile range within five years if not in two.  Someone has to pay for the spending our lawmakers have been reckless with and “someone” always = taxpayers. The bitch is we have a lot to catch up on so we will have to pay a lot to do so.

Debt – why do some of you pay over $300 a month for a car? Is it a huge behemoth or a sensible vehicle that gets you and your family around from A to B? If you spend $50 in gas a week you are STUPID. It’s your fault. Get rid of your big pieces of shit and buy a little box. The insurance is cheaper.
Detroit has yet to pull it’s head out of it’s FAT ASS in an attempt in coming close to equaling a Japanese engine that is more efficient than anything you will buy domestically. A Toyota engine will last forever as will a Honda if one maintains it. Will a Ford, Chevy or Dodge engine? ROTFLMFAO!
Yet, they are claiming losses in the millions that the average American citizen cannot. They project revenues they are not meeting and get to take tax losses. How about us? I projected I would earn a million dollars and knew I would never for the year. Can I take a tax cut? Fuck no!

More debt – how many of you dumb asses are carrying around credit cards and owe money on them? WHY? Do you see what kind of shape the US federal government is in? It’s for the same reason. You spend what you don’t have because you want, want, want and spend, spend, spend with no means to pay. Some of you are foreclosing on your mortgages because you agreed to buy a house that was %500 above your means. Yep, you can blame some greedy fuckers for pushing you that way but where were the warning flares that told you not to do so? You keep your cable, satellite and internet and that expensive piece of shit car for some reason. My car is paid for but I need to get rid of pay TV. Why we will need a special receiver for digital next year is but another stroke of illegal night moves we let our elected officials get away with.

Our legislators just passed a trillion dollar band aid for our retarded president – BUSH – to sign into law so the stupid and greedy assholes of this country can be excused of all of their errant ways.
Why do they blame it on Wall street when it is actually the fault of Main street? It’s like SOYLENT GREEN. SOYLENT GREEN is people. The financial crisis is people, not Wall street.

Merchants had better cry poor mouth this Christmas rather than the people of this country going out and buying shit they don’t need and can’t afford. Most would do better to blow off buying Christmas shit for the next couple of years than incurring more debt they can’t afford.

Who sets the price on the barrel of crude oil? Do the oil companies simply make up numbers and tell us what they want just to shaft us or is it really that expensive? I think the oil companies are plainly fucking us over while they rack up record income and profits. Explain that Mr EXXON! Fuck you!

CNG – How many of you are aware of the vast amount of compressed natural gas we have under the soil of this nation? Why doesn’t the US government let Pickens pump that out of the ground so we can use it for energy uses?
Everyone needs electricity, correct? Why not convert every non nuclear or hydraulic power plant to CNG and build pipelines to power them at decreased prices and cleaner emissions?
Here’s one reason – the fucking US government has to put their hands on it and regulate, tax and rubber stamp it all before they figure out a way to fuck us out of the benefits of such a simple plan.
Why can’t we drill for oil in our own country? Because the fucking US federal government – led by the nose by industry and special interest groups – needs to make a buck on it before we can benefit from it.
How in hell did they pass a trillion dollar piece of legislature so quickly?? Someone is out to make a fucking fortune from it just as they do from the $10B a month they send to the illegal war.

Why are we in a war? Is anyone trying to kill Osama fucking Bin Laden? They never had an intention to do so and most of it is a ruse.  The attack on Afghanistan was simpletons using their email to send anti Bin Laden crap around and spinning each other up over nothing. The US government probably started half of the stupid propaganda to keep American citizens at fever pitch. Why is Castro or any other evil entity the USA detests still alive? Qaddafi and Arafat were free to come and go forever. Putin is a pain in the ass as is Kim in Korea. Don’t you think we would’ve figured out some way to pop a cap into their asses by now rather than involve our nation in war?
BUT we can’t do that!! We need bad guys to instill fear and terror. Hussein was like a boil on the neocon idiots asses for some reason. Iran is a bad guy we better not fuck with.

As far as “green jobs”. Has anyone ever researched the difference it would make in this country if the USA cultivated HEMP? We used to at one time until prohibition was over and the federal government didn’t like people smoking weed. Hemp is more efficient than corn for use as a bio-fuel and can make more paper than trees. Levis were made from hemp as linen that rivals cotton can be made from it. It can be used as food.
I haven’t even gotten to the medical uses and getting high. Everyone should smoke dope rather than take the pharmaceutical chemicals we ingest everyday for each and every thing your doctor prescribes them for.

Then there is the court systems and prisons filled with people that merely smoke it. You can get 25 years in jail for possession of less than an oz of weed yet be sent away for 8 years for rape or other sexual crimes.
I find that to be rather fucked up.

Both MCCAIN and OBIDEN will fuck us – believe it folks- things will never change unless a woman becomes president. I am a man and I know this to be true. Who raised and nurtured you? A woman.
Our mothers are women and have never had the opportunity to run the country though they can do everything else. They did the shitwork your father wouldn’t.  A mother knows tough love – a mix between liberal and conservative.

The only genuine thing I have seen in the 2008 election free-for-all is the naiveté of SARAH PALIN. Many don’t like her because they never heard of her or don’t like her outer beltway way of thinking – mostly due to the fact the media has convinced you not to.
You know what? The Constitution was written with her point of view in mind. The framers of the Constitution didn’t write all of that for a bunch of white haired old men to sit around for life and fuck up the country and/or  the world in they way they have in the past 100 years.
Ever since the depression and on through WWI, WWII, Korea, the Cold War, Watergate, Vietnam and the past two wars about bullshit, the USA has been at the hands of old white haired white men thinking for themselves. They have succeeded at keeping us in a state of fear.

Nothing will change if you put the two male candidates in office in November.

They actually did it!

The US Senate as well as the House of Representatives bought out all of the bad financial decisions made by Americans across the board for nearly one trillion dollars.
It’s not as though they have already spent two trillion dollars the USA does not have on the illegal war in the middle east – NO! The dimwits that WE, THE PEOPLE, vote into office have assumed the numerous errant loans of the past 7 years as well as all the liability of the criminal backlash the greedy scumsuckers have left behind such as healthcare insurance and other various crap I hear them trying to rationalize behind me on CSPAN.

Does anyone in America know where that money comes from?  When you hear the presidential candidates tell you they won’t raise taxes you can assume that to be a lie. Why? Because the American public is going to start coughing up some heavy taxes to pay for the events of the last Bush administration. If you don’t believe me now you will when your income taxes are between 40-50% within 5 years. That money was not in some hidden cache that a magic wand revealed. Demand that your senators and congressmen explain where it will come from. I put it to you to do so so you may further understand. Are we to continue to borrow from the Chinese to fund our bumbles?

We are living in a recession and inflation/depression are around the corner, folks.

America needs the opportunity to vote for Ron Paul at this time. He pointed out all of this if you paid attention.

Sean Taylor – how society treats celebrity versus others that have fallen

Ever since this young man was gunned down by some punk hoping to clean up opportunistically on what was supposed abandoned cash I have been curious if any other 24 year old black men were shot to ultimately die by another on Nov. 26. The odds favor it but are any of them being honored as a fallen US soldier never has within the last 7 years? Pat Tillman doesn’t count as he was another of NFL celebrity.

Taylor was an NFL football player for a very short while. Dale Earnhardt drove race cars for a long time. These two were celebrity sports figures, nothing more. Heroes to some but millionaire sports figures don’t play into the moral fabric of everyday life as the memorials of these two might suggest. All that can be gleaned by putting them on that pedestal is learning of their lives, which we needn’t do. I don’t know if America really needs to grieve over FATHEADS as we are given over to. What does it say about our priorities when soldiers come home dead in body bags and go nameless – minus the fanfare of nationwide memorials that would put their names and faces on news channels as well as newspapers and other periodicals? How many periodicals will Sean Taylor’s face grace the cover of? As was with Dale Earnhardt it becomes macabre.
How many names and faces of the victims of crimes such as the VA Tech shooting or the DC snipers can we readily identify? Who cares? They aren’t celebrity sports figures are they?
Maybe it’s the fact that the media constantly spotlights highly paid sports figures so we may live vicariously through their excesses. Does that cause us to hold them above all others in life? I think the media itself teaches us who to hold in esteem. Hours upon hours of news stories and exposes puts them foremost in the minds of society.
Paris Hilton, not a sports figure, is a celebrity for no reason at all. The world bent a knee and wept when Princess Diana died in an automobile accident while the death of Mother Teresa was barely noticed. Paris would have a leg up on Teresa as well as we know far too much about her than is necessary. I think Teresa was glossed over by the media in its efforts to discuss Di, Di, Di.

The 4 youths that wanted to steal from Taylor are a product of the mindset I have described. They were out to take another’s valuables – steal – no doubt thinking the rich sports figure might have the best goods. They no doubt had an inside line as to what was where.
Shooting Sean Taylor was probably as easy as playing a video game for the trigger man. He has probably played enough games where he has shot another in the game. What is the sense of playing if you don’t shoot someone?
Breaking and entering with a handgun was far too easy. The 4 in question supposedly didn’t know someone was home and planned on ransacking the home to get money to blow within week to further their stupidity.

Uninformed, Uneducated, Ignorant or Just Plain Stupid?

I was at the gas station last night and picked Sunoco over BP because the price for 87 octane was $2.97 vs $3.04.
Are you aware that 99% of the cars on the road are designed to use 87 octane? I have no idea why people are spending twenty five cents more per gallon for gasoline they do not need.

MY car knocks…Yeah, so do racecars before they get up to full song. Your cars don’t ping or knock at 20mph. Racecars don’t either once they get moving. Their compression ratio far exceeds any of our domestic cars which is a need for the higher octane fuel.

At present time the refiners are mixing an average of 10% ethanol into the gasoline and my truck doesn’t run well on it. My mileage has dropped considerably due to this. I am glad I don’t drive very much as it would hurt if I did. I would most certainly rid myself of my trusty old 1993 Chevrolet pickup with a V-6 and look for something on the lines of a Honda civic. The sad part is my truck is in great shape and utilitarian as well.
Where are those Euro- Smart cars? The four-two is a little urban vehicle designed for the type of driving most of us do now. Trade in those big 4X4 SUVs and get back into the Volkswagon Beetle mindset. I don’t understand the price gouging for them at this time but that will go away soon.
One stumbling block – the EPA wants to put emissions controls on them. 40-50 mpg is my idea of emissions controls.

This was the meaning of my post and it applies to us all when it comes to petroleum and the ways in which we use it. If Al Gore and his followers want to make noise they should push for different engineering in the auto world. And then push for more efficient solar power – its there and it is free for the taking.

Taxes – In the Future

Something I have heard some of our illustrious career politicians mention recently is the fact that taxes will be a bit higher in the future.

That’s pretty much a lame statement that can be heard at any time when the subject arises but when muttered aloud this time they are talking on the scale of pulling your gym shorts down in front of the entire school!!
Oh, yeah!! And not for a brief 10 minute period of humiliation. This time the tax hits are going to remind you of every time the US Postal Service wants to spank the price of a stamp up another penny or so; why they don’t go to 50 cents this time and stay there for a while is too logical in this era.

Why are taxes a point in this crazy and raving blog I type into?
Think about what our country has been involved in since George W. Bush has taken over as the president of our United States; the leader of the most powerful country on this planet.

DUH…Yeah, our armed forced have been deployed, full scale, overseas in a war of his personal choice.

Why is this so outlandish?

Consider the fact that it is not even Bush that plans this stuff. Given the history of the world; does he really think he is going to affect the course of time forever? He went to college to party and supposedly gain an education. He has to have some intelligence. (that is asking for a lot) He is nothing in the grand scheme of time and will be gone in two years. However – the USA will be stuck with whatever his administration has done or will do in the future. Tax rates are going to be in the 40 percentile range within a decade because of the cost of his “war”. That movement of cash was actually the buying and selling of the USA we aren’t yet aware of. There are other operatives in play. Call me crazy and conspiratorial but when taxes are unreal and gasoline is $4.00 gal think back on this.
He has successfully played the fool for those who want to bring down the USA. We will not be enjoying the great American lifestyle any longer; we will be living life as those in Europe know it. We are going to become equal to the EU. There was talk years ago that we would be but, no! We are the United States of America, the land of the free and the home of the brave. Too bad not enough of us are brave enough to save what is left. Not enough of us are brave enough to put down our remote controls and beer. Not enough of us have voter registration cards or show up to vote on election days. We have excuses such as “I’m not going to vote because it doesn’t matter”. Too many of us are of the mindset of “they ought to do something about that”.
Answer this – who are “they” and what are “they” to do about it? The vote that you feel doesn’t matter does when you are voting for senators and representatives. They are the folks that legislate laws and present and pass bills that decide how tax money is spent. Those are the elected officials that must be pondered upon before voting.
Something we need in this country is term limitations on senators and republicans. It is up to us to police them with our votes. A 65 year old drunk in another state represents me whether he claims to or not, Every vote on every ballot presented to them affects the entire USA and, at times, the world.

It sounds a bit biblical and end times doesn’t it? That’s because it is.

Poseurs

After surfing around “blogs” (I hate that word) here at WordPress as well as other sites I have realized that there are very few that actually write off the top of the heads.
There are far too many “blogs” that are basically projects in cutting and pasting news stories. This keeps the story the “blogger” read intact but it does nothing in the way of creativity – using one’s own mind to form an opinion.

These people are Poseurs as far as writing is concerned.

Rather than expound on their own views of what is happening they cut and paste their favorite news paper story in with a short segue.
Tell us how you actually felt about it. The dumb asses that write the stories you cut and paste are no better than you.
I refuse to peruse through the idiot written news unless it is from a source that is basically stating what happened to who, where and how. Why is subjective and is left to who to explain. We can all form thoughts of why; that is the beauty of the ability to express one’s self using the written word.

Most of my bullshit ranting any will read in my postings is off of the top of my educated head. I have stated my practice of watching the news shows on television of Sunday mornings. Why?
I get to watch and hear the bullshit flow from the mouths of the people that are subjectively writing news that is haphazardly tossed about by television people as well as all over the net. Just because your favorite political ANALyst spouts off in your preferred manner of republican or democratic point of view doesn’t mean it is correct.
Quite the contrary – these partisan numb nuts have been at it for a long time and have sucked in an audience that agrees with everything they read which further fuels any feeble thoughts they may fart out on occasion.

“He wrote this about “insert name/topic” and the way it was presented to my feeble mind sounds right. I thought something worse so that may be true as well. I am going to discuss it with all of my pals and present it as truth.”

I am a military brat and have no hometown. I know the military well as I lived on bases and all of the stuff with my old dad. If i am ever asked if I was in the military I unabashedly answer yes and explain why. I did my part by being there with my dad, who is dead now thanks to Uncle SAM. My folks bought a house at the start of the Vietnam war and when it came time for dad’s new orders to move around came up they had an agreement that he would go for a year rather than force my mother to play gypsy for another 9 years. They worked that out for 3 tours of duty.

As far as poseurs, why? Let the words flow and tell your side of it, it is really easy. Write of topical matter but don’t cut and paste.

I used to be a big fan of NASCAR’s Winston Cup series of racing. I became a real fan when i hitched several rides down to Charlotte, NC in 1981 for the World 600. I became an big fan of Dale Earnhardt then before anyone in the sane world knew what the hell I was talking about. The two largest names in auto racing to most people were Mario Andretti and Richard Petty.
My favorite driver died in a racing accident in 2000. The sport did as well. I have little interest in NASCAR now that they have changed the rules around so that it isn’t the sport I followed, literally, from state to state.
I watched a movie made by Disney and Pixar this week entitled “Cars” and is one of the best motor sports movies i have ever seen; it’s a cartoon in which the characters are cars. There were no gratuitous sex scene and the actual aspect of racing puts NASCAR to shame. I would rather watch that cartoon once a week than a 4 hour marathon.

That is sad IMO.

Open letter to Al Gore….

Dear AL,

What agenda are you trying to prove with your wild allegations of GLOBAL WARMING? It is quite the buzzword that politicians are attaching to their political platforms and people listen because it is the latest and greatest imaginary FEAR FACTOR. Are you merely trying to gain your way back into the public eye or do you really think you have what a fisherman may refer to as “THE BIG ONE” on the line? I think you have a “CATCH and RELEASE” license, big guy, as you are actually serving part in raising the price of gasoline – over $3 gallon today in the DC metro area and most likely not coming down.
That corn alcohol fuel additive your ilk is so favorable of actually lowers fuel mileage, as does the oxygenated gasoline we find at our pumps in the fall and winter months. Do the math with me on this one…if a car gets 20 mpg with the unadulterated 87 octane gasoline and the mileage drops to 18 mpg with either the oxygenated or corn blend, what is really happening?
Can’t answer? I didn’t think so. That change in the fuel mixture is causing the engine to dump more emissions into the air as it is not as efficient as it was before the fuel mixture was altered.

I have a better goal for you; far better. Our television and radio airwaves are constantly bombarded with commercials for trucks, trucks and more trucks with more torque and horsepower than the other model. This means the engines are larger, use more gas and emit more pollutants into the air.
The answer to this is to downsize our vehicles as the manufacturers did in the early 1970s so that we will, once again, have smaller autos in this country that are fuel efficient and using less gasoline thus, less crude oil.
The beauty of this is the start of these vehicles already exist!!
Yes, Daimler-Benz manufactures what is know as the SMART car; currently in Europe and should be here in the USA driven by commuters that sit in hour(s) long traffic jams on a regular basis in most metropolitan areas such as DC, NYC, Philly, Boston and LA.

I can imagine the EPA wants to slap some emission equipment on it which equals federal taxes. If someone can explain to me why a vehicle that can get 40-50 mpg needs emission equipment, in a sensible manner, I may believe it. I think 40-50 mpg is emission controls.

As far as global warming, I live in the DC metro area and I see no proof of it. Sure we had a late winter but, the local weather mouths on television are going on about how cool of a spring we are in. It has been this way for the past 5 years.

Mr. Gore,
I have lived in MD for 30 years. I have seen a change in weather patterns but nothing that could be classified as “GLOBAL WARMING”. In the infinite hours, days, months and years spent researching your global catastrophe did you ever think there may be a slight chance that the weather patterns of the world may change or did your research predict the weather was a constant from alpha to omega? Most of all GLOBAL WARMING models that these studies are based on are 2-3 centuries at the most. You nor I could be seen from a commercial airliner at a cruising altitude of 35K ft unless a sensor’s lens was configured to do so as the craft flew overhead at 500 mph. We are but specks of dust on this rock; one century’s weather seasons out of most likely millions is as a single fire ant from a nest of them.

I saw the Potomac frozen over like a bridge in 1978. I remember times when it was so cold the marinas would freeze and spit the boats out of the water and up onto the ice until it thawed. I remember summers of years past that had months of consecutive 100 degree days. Not any longer.
I don’t know where the polar caps are in dire straits and Canada is solid ice near the pole.
Picture yourself in a typical 20′x40′ backyard swimming pool. If someone slid two 500 lb blocks of ice in each end simultaneously would it be catastrophic? That would be 1/2 ton of ice – frozen water – the same as ten 100 lb people joining you; would the pool overflow? No.

Cease trying to scare everyone with rising tides that claims beaches. One of the hurricanes that blow by the east coast does that by itself. Flooding suggested by global warming is equivalent to 1/2 again the volume of water already on the earth’s surface being dumped in the seas. There isn’t that much ice on the planet.

As far as hydrocarbons and carbon dioxide; I suggest YOU pay YOUR friends at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue a visit and come to an agreement about the future of photo-voltaic energy. If, as your think tank suggests, we are supposedly burning alive under the sun, we may as well push on for the development of harnessing that energy in a far more efficient manner than what is at present.

One of the truly unfruitful dilemmas the world faces is clearing land for the sake of clearing land. Leave the trees. I have no idea of the true figures of the Amazon rain forest that has been leveled but more locations than that are being leveled because we can. A copse of trees in any locale is far better than flat land or lawn. People should be educated in that manner and not with impending doom.

Air pollution is inevitable unless we are to close shop and camp out without any of what we take for granted today. Then again, solar energy could eliminate a lot of it.

Death, Murder, War, Guns and Stuff

I live about 200 miles from VA Tech and have driven by it several times. A student at the college with more than one loose screw basically assassinated over 30 other people in a building before doing what has become the recipe followed by every one of these loose nuts that try to make a statement in that fashion – the pussy shot himself before he could face accountability.

I know more about suicide than I need as my Pop checked out in that manner. He didn’t point a gun at another, he did it alone as he was in pain I cannot imagine due to cancer. I was royally pissed off at him for years but I have forgiven him. It hurt my family and I but, so did his cancer. He was my Dad and if he couldn’t take it any longer I accept it. He was drinking morphine syrup for pain and that must not have been enough. I figure he was tired of waiting to die.

Animals in the wild have the opportunity to walk away and lie down to die when they feel the need to. That is dignified as far as I am concerned. If a human tried to do the same a crew of EMT s would
drag that person via ambulance to a hospital and prolong that life.
Two points I have always thought of in this situation.
ONE – If that person is alone in life, why is the life prolonged?
TWO – If there is family, who is the person being kept alive for? Do we keep our relatives alive on respirators and feeding tubes for themselves or because we are too selfish to let them pass on? It hurts to lie in a bed virtually dead. My mother signed a living will, years before, that prevented that from happening to her and I had to honor and execute her wishes. She died while I looked in her eyes. I have much the same written for myself – I told my brother and sisters to make sure I was gone and not just taking a 48 hr nap.
Suicide is sometimes the only way out for people dying and in physical PAIN. Western medicine won’t allow them to die. I question the mentality behind that.

BACK to VA TECH – We are living among people who are twisted beyond any reason conceivable inside. Several people – mostly deep thinking liberal philosophical types – insist on convincing me evil does not exist, it is something for therapy because that person has problems.
PROBLEMS?!! WTF!!
These are people that walk into colleges, public schools, restaurants or any other place they think they may be getting someone’s attention and start dumping clips of ammo into innocents; killing or wounding them as if by some driven demons. Again the pussy shoots himself before he can tell us why. I consider it an exorcism of sorts though it would be nice to hear it from the mouth of the vessel the evil is residing in before that point. It may be the Demons have used him and left him there with the reality of what has just happened and it is just too much to live with for a minute more.

Be secure in the thought that piece of shit at VA TECH had to plan what he did very thoroughly. How many demons was he harboring and why? There will be a lot of questions asked and answered within the next year.
I had a conversation with a friend of mine who majored in psychology years ago and has taken it further. His first thought was to find out if Mr CHO was taking psycho depressant chemicals. He stated Prozac as one that causes those that take it to become numb to whatever they may be acting out. They aren’t depressed any longer so the medicine works. Rave on!

AS far as my compassion towards the students that were shot down -
I pray for the entire world as we all need it. Not just me or another; all of us.
I am more sincere than the obligatory “our prayers are with those people” that you will hear in the media because mine are with us all. You might not have ever known, but I tell God- yes, I speak to Him everyday – to spread my share towards all evenly, even your dogs. If you don’t like it, too bad because they are coming at you anyway.
World Peace is a load of crap until it actually happens. Miss America can parrot that stupid quip forever but does Miss America know reciprocal mathematics? Most likely, no.

The Washington DC area news stations are whores for raising fear and terror to a “Fever Pitch” for no reason at all and prove very successful in their efforts. Is it merely to keep us informed?
They have a way with the fear factor that spills over to the rest of the nation.
I heard such headlines as “In light of what has happened in Blacksburg, local schools are rethinking how they can stiffen security on their campuses.” They were implying public schools.
At some point the day after there was a reporter and camera crew chasing students around the campus of the American University and asking them their opinions of how safe they felt on their campus and if they thought the same could happen there.
Do you ever feel the need to throttle the neck of another “Homer Simpson style?”

The news stations started questioning gun laws – predictably – for no reason at all.
If I were at a counter in a department store and displayed a loaded pistol, baseball bat, knife, an ax and a pit bull terrier to you…which would you consider the most dangerous?

Most knee jerk reaction is going to point to the gun and the dog. That is learned media mentality.
The weapons are inanimate objects and the pit bull terrier happens to be the most friendly of all breeds when trained correctly. Mine is an angel – and is going on 11 years of age while being my companion dog. – Check out my Pic/Avatar -
Here is a shocking tip that most owners of the breed would never want you to know…They are fantastic alarm dogs and horrible guard dogs. After barking and raising hell they will jump into an open car door just to go for a ride somewhere.
The role of a normal family dog this is this breeds strong suit.
Considering they can’t use a gun or knife, don’t B&E to rob you, don’t rape your women, don’t use heroin, smoke crack and don’t drink and drive…Wow, they can’t even roll a joint to smoke weed!
What is the big deal with them? Buster Brown’s dog Tide, Petey and endless years of people owning them are erased because some in our society can’t behave as well as dogs can.

Some in our society can’t behave.

What does that mean? I consider it a total disregard for others of the world; a basic disregard of civility. Bullies that beat on others, steal and kill are good examples of this behavior and why we have laws and prisons to curb and house them.

Would those folks be of the mindset to pick up one of those inanimate objects and make them dangerous?!
Of course. It is part of that behavior pattern. I have a gun and I haven’t seen it in a while. I would wager there are tons of people that can make the same statement.

I learned while growing up what discipline is. Those that populate our prisons never did. Maybe they did but they never learned that discipline leads to self-discipline and civility.

To be rather blunt, I learned that i would get my ass kicked by my father if i got out of line. The schools I went to could spank with some scary looking paddles. They didn’t abuse; one or two smacks in the presence of another of their peers kept it to “a smack on your ass that would sting for hours.” They called your home and told your folks that evening and you might have gotten some more.
Kids talk tough about being “dissed” and want to get violent about demanding it. I have seen adults act in the same manner. I’ve seen no reason for them to deserve any respect. Respect is what you show to others that are looking for a reason for you to earn that respect.
Modern day criminals statistically seldom had a strong male influence in their lives that taught them to respect others first. They didn’t live with the prospect of being physically put in their place in a proper fashion while they grew up 7/24/365.
Some states are passing laws that prevent parents from giving their kids a good swat on the ass if necessary. Wait until you get home, kid.

Have you ever watched a martial arts movie and noticed the sensei was very strict? The Karate Kid had a hard way to go though Mr Kyoto knew how to do it mentally as well as using “Wax On – Wax Off” as a trial.
Just as a dog is taught to “SIT and STAY” humans must learn their boundaries from an elder; hopefully one they respect.
Prison isn’t a place to learn it; the military is a better opportunity.

As I watched all of the gatherings of people concerning the VA TECH incident I was put off by the fact we as a nation will mourn those students as innocent martyrs and forget the fact that our very own nation carried out acts of terrorism within the past few years in Iraq.

Scene…Several Iraqi families that never gave a thought about you nor I over there on the other side of the world – and no wish to kill any Americans (that is a strong misconception and great propaganda) – are sitting together eating evening meals in their apartments in Baghdad when a US cruise missile takes out half of the building, as well as half of the families.
Survivors emerge looking for loved ones – husband, daughter, mother, wife, whatever, and in that one strike their lives changed.
The really sad thing is they never knew we – You and I as human beings – exist and still don’t though we can watch their grief captured on cameras for the news. Those people are only aware that our country, the USA, destroyed their lives.
Though it can be told in different ways, this is is true.

Relate that grief to what we feel towards that college incident.

This is meant to shock you back into some sense of civility before I catch any comments about ragheads and 911.

I am a patriot and my country has let me down.
Do we only show compassion toward our own??
